We are seeking a dedicated, bilingual (English/Spanish), and certified Medical Assistant. Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant (MA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the frontline support for patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient service. Your expertise will help facilitate efficient medical workflows, coordinate patient interactions, and support clinical staff with administrative and clinical tasks. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, including collecting accurate intake information and verifying insurance details.

  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to support clinical assessments.

  • Prepare patients for examinations by documenting medical histories and current symptoms using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including medication administration, specimen collection, X-ray preparation, and basic life support (BLS) procedures.

  • Manage appointment scheduling efficiently across outpatient clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care settings, and specialty areas like dermatology or geriatrics.

  • Support inpatient and outpatient workflows by coordinating patient flow, updating medical records with ICD coding and anatomy/physiology details, and ensuring documentation accuracy.

  • Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols for Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center settings when applicable.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or outpatient clinics; experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures.

  • Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation of patient encounters and clinical notes.

  • Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, specimen collection, X-ray assistance, and basic life support (BLS).

  • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric intensive care units (PICU).

  • Prior hospital experience in medical-surgical units or internal medicine settings preferred; experience with OR or Geriatrics is a plus.

  • Knowledge of emergency protocols and experience working in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is advantageous.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings.
