Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, bilingual (English/Spanish), and certified Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate is energetic, empathetic, highly organized, and committed to delivering the highest standard of patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth clinic flow and a positive patient experience from check-in to checkout.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
- Room patients, obtain and accurately record vital signs, and document chief complaints.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist Doctor or Nurse Practitioner during procedures.
- Perform basic in-office procedures such as EKGs, spirometry, ear lavage, phlebotomy, and injections/vaccinations.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, manage point-of-care testing, and ensure proper specimen handling.
- Provide clear and compassionate patient education on medications, diets, treatment plans, and preventive care as directed by the physician.
- Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and exam rooms, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
- Manage and restock clinical supplies and medication samples.
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments, tests, and referrals with efficiency and care.
- Manage prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic tests.
- Handle patient communication via phone and patient portal, relaying messages and test results promptly and accurately.
- Assist with electronic health record (EHR) documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine setting.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required. This is essential for communicating with Dr. Garcia Zuñiga and a large portion of our patient population.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, professional, and calm demeanor.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EHR.
- A genuine passion for primary care and community health.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing advanced nursing care to patients across the lifespan. This role involves performing comprehensive assessments, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, and promoting health and disease prevention. The NP will work collaboratively with Dr. Andres Garcia Zuñiga, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, COPD).
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations and collaborative agreements.
- Perform therapeutic or diagnostic procedures as credentialed (e.g., suturing, wound care, joint injections).
- Provide patient education and counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Facilitate patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare services as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews.
Administrative & Professional Duties:
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic medical records (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
- Stay current with advances in nursing practice and maintain required certifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
- National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., AANP, ANCC) in FNP.
- Current DEA registration and state-controlled substance license (if applicable).
- Current BLS and/or ACLS certification.
- Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and procedural skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) systems.
Preferred:
- 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care or clinic setting.
